Why and what is tar and chip?
First gravel, then asphalt, then loose stones are laid and pressed together. Not only are those materials (especially when combined) exceptionally durable, but they also allow your tires to get great traction.
For use on low-volume Roadways
If your roadway was paved with the tar and chip seal method, it means that it’s considered a low-volume road and sees roughly 2,500 vehicles or fewer per day.
